Issue Five
A Note from the Editors

Chickenpinata is celebrating its one year
anniversary! We are so proud of all the
poems that we've published this past year,
and hope that you've enjoyed reading
them as much as we have.  We thank all of
our contributors and all of the poets
who've taken a chance to submit their
work to us.

As we continue to grow, we look forward
to all the poetry in the coming year,
greedy to find the next poem that moves
us so that we can share it with you.
There is something very privileged about
being the first to bring new work to new
readers.  We love that about our job.

But with growth comes the need for help,
so we remind you that we are looking to
increase our staff:  if you have any
editorial background, or you're an
accomplished poet familiar with the
ins-and-outs of publishing, and you're
interested in becoming a staff reader for
Chickenpinata--an unpaid, relatively
thankless job that you're willing to do
because you love poetry as much as we
do--
please drop us a line.

As always, thank you for reading.
