Issue Four
A Note from the Editors
It's fall again, and everything is a crisp
orange and yellow wherever you look,
the leaves piling below the trees or
blowing into your path on an errant
breeze. We love this time of year.
The poems that we've received have
been as multitudinous as the leaves, and
we've chosen poems for Issue 4, that,
while they have nothing to do with fall,
offer a cornucopia of poetic flavors and
textures for you to feast on.
All this is by way of saying that
Chickenpinata is growing faster than we
can keep up with! It's wonderful that
you keep sending us a steady stream of
quality submissions, but we're a bit low
on womanpower to process all that we
receive. In other words, we're looking
to increase our staff.
If you have any editorial background, or
you're an accomplished poet familiar
with the ins-and-outs of publishing, and
you're interested in becoming a staff
reader for Chickenpinata--an unpaid,
relatively thankless job that you're
willing to do because you love poetry as
much as we do--please drop us a line.
We hope you enjoy Issue 4, and we hope
the rest of the year goes well for you.
We'll see you again in the New Year.
As always, thank you for reading.
